ABOUT THE ROLE

CannaCraft is looking for a high energy Production Technician I to take on this key role in our operations. The Production Technician I is responsible for efficient, effective, fast, and consistent work to accomplish and complete tasks that were requested to be filled and packaged. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of production, from packaging manufactured products to flower, and supporting our post-harvest team with trimming, bucking, and weighing material.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare all packaging materials for use within all departments
  • Weighing and counting out raw materials for overall production
  • Assist with the gummy unmolding process
  • Perform final packaging for all work in progress batches
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.
  • Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to the Lead.
  • Properly wrap and place completed pallets in the shipping and receiving warehouse by using a pallet jack
  • Be able to utilize scales, including calibrating and sanitizing before and after use.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing workspace before shift, during shift/after different products, and after shift
  • Cleaning and sanitizing all work equipment and kitchen tools before and after use
  • Maintain proper PPE and Hygiene
  • Handling and working with cannabis plant material such as hanging and bucking.
  • Wash and sanitize hands before shift, during shift, after breaks, and lunch
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES – REQUIRED

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Must be able to work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self- motivation and initiative.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in policy, procedure, and technique. Must be willing and flexible when asked to support different teams or help in different work locations.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively with direct supervisors and co-workers.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with great efficiency over 8-hour work periods.
  • Employees must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can maintain quality standards and production goals.
  • Communication skills for the role.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Math Skills- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

This is a full time, non-exempt position located based in Santa Rosa, California.
Starting pay is $19 an hour
