Every Man Jack is a leader in the natural men’s grooming space in the United States and Canada, with a presence across major national retailers like Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Amazon. Born at the base of Mt. Tam in Marin County, CA, the company’s Base Camp is in Mill Valley, CA, just north of the Golden Gate bridge. We’ve experienced significant growth over the past several years and continue to add top talent to our growing roster.

Considering a host of recent initiatives – including our new Antiperspirant launch, significant retail distribution opportunities, and high growth e-commerce initiatives – there is truly no shortage of exciting projects for the Every Man Jack team.


The Sales Planning function is the hub in the wheel for the organization, helping to provide cross-functional leadership and coordination among Finance, Brand, Operations, Ecommerce and Field Sales. The Sales Planning Manager supports the Director in driving all Sales activity at Every Man Jack and is accountable for all execution and results. The job requires experience, patience, drive, and flexibility to manage the challenges, and take advantage of the opportunities that a fast-growing company will face.

The Sales Planning Manager reports directly to the Sales Planning Director and will be a key resource for the Field Sales team.


Elevate the Sales Planning function by:

  • Analyzing and providing insights monthly from customer-specific and syndicated data (IRI)
  • Tracking Every Man Jack market share and price position versus competition
  • Reporting on shipments pacing to our latest estimate, budget, and versus last year trend
  • Maintaining our promotional tracker, tracking trade rate pacing to budgeted rates
  • Representing Field Sales daily, ensuring internal teams are tracking to customer needs

Strategically guide and support the Field Sales team by:

  • Partnering on key customer meetings and category reviews including setting goals, deck preparation, space to sales analyses, and sku rationalization decision making
  • Aiding in analyzing promotional events and determining effectiveness (ROI)
  • Owning our Marvel and Holiday programs from start to finish
  • Owning the display forecast and merchandising vehicle (tray & rack) needs
  • Owning trade show coordination, materials strategy, and execution
  • Tracking minimum authorized pricing (MAP) policy violations

Support the Sales Planning Director and partner cross-functionally:

  • Assisting in new product launches throughout the commercialization process
  • Collaborating on impactful selling materials, trackers, and other resources to ensure the successful launch of new items, Marvel licensed products, Holiday in/outs, and displays
  • Partnering with the creative team on sales requests and selling material needs
  • Owning the mockup and sample order process for existing and new items in partnership with Operations
  • Assisting with the new item set up process e.g. 1WorldSync, 1x-One, Smarter Sorting, GS1
  • Maintaining the price list

Candidates must be passionate, organized, and creative to support the sales team in driving growth for EMJ. This person is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills. While this candidate loves timelines and getting organized, this person has a remarkable ability to remain calm and flexible in the fast-paced, changing world of product development in a high growth environment. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player – someone approachable with a positive, innovative and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder and takes on a “sleeves-rolled-up” and a “can-do” attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of Sales Planning, Field Sales, and/or Category Management experience in the Consumer Package Goods industry, preferably in Personal Care
  • Deep knowledge and experience working with multiple retail channels in Mass, Food, Drug, Club, Specialty and Natural with a proven track record of delivering consistent positive business results
  • A dynamic collaborator who is willing to dig in and get stuff done in partnership with the Sales Team and cross-functional partners; a true “Team Player”
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to both think strategically and act as a diplomatic, detail-oriented team member committed to driving results
  • Energy, passion, and a strong desire to build a transformational brand in today’s marketplace
  • Comfortability operating in ambiguity with a drive for identifying and implementing ways for the organization to continuously improve
  • Ability to quickly and independently analyze data from multiple sources to craft insightful, compelling presentations for internal stakeholders and external customer meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to make thoughtful, strategic business decisions and provide clear and consistent direction with actionable takeaways
  • Expertise in syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen/SPINs) and consumer panel metrics is a must
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Pivot Tables and a comfortability with Google Suite is needed
  • Knowledge of Qlik, Price Spider, Asana, Numerator, 1WorldSync, 1x-One, Smarter Sorting, GS1, TrueCommerce EDI, John Galt Atlas demand planning platform Suzy, Circana, the NPD Group, Mintel, and/or Smartsheet is a plus



LOCATION: Mill Valley, CA (Hybrid: Mon/Tues/Thurs in Office, Wed/Fri Remote)

HOURS: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried

MANAGER: Director of Sales Planning
