What We Do.

Every Man Jack is a leader in the natural men’s grooming space in the United States, with a presence across major national retailers like Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Amazon. Born at the base of Mt. Tam in Marin County, CA, the company’s Base Camp is in Mill Valley, CA, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We’ve experienced significant growth over the past several years and continue to add top talent to our growing roster.

Considering a host of recent initiatives including our B-Corp certification, innovations in Deodorant and Body Wash as well significant retail distribution opportunities, and high growth e-commerce initiatives – there is truly no shortage of exciting projects for the Every Man Jack team.

What You’ll Do.

THE ROLE: BRAND MANAGER

The Brand Manager for Every Man Jack will play a key role in supporting the business across all categories. This role focuses on analyzing brand performance metrics, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize strategies. They will collaborate closely with the Director of Brand Management and cross-functional teams to support the commercialization and sell-in of innovation and new items. This includes managing product updates, conducting consumer research, refining brand messaging, and partnering on digital and shopper marketing initiatives. With a hands-on approach, the Brand Manager will execute tactics that address consumer and customer needs, contributing to the company’s goals and vision. This position reports to the Director of Brand Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

  • Brand Performance Monitoring: Analyze brand performance metrics, market trends and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement

INNOVATION & PRODUCT

  • Product Pipeline: Partner with Product Development, the Brand Director, and Sales teams to provide data-driven insights that shape the innovation pipeline, addressing consumer needs, retailer priorities, and market trends.
  • Commercialize New Products: Working closely with cross-functional partners, own commercialization of innovation and updates to base items. This includes concept & campaign briefs, packaging specs and effectively managing timelines to drive products through the Stage Gate process
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Sales Planning Director to share out key product category updates, new innovation, data analysis, storytelling and sending out product samples for key customer meetings (Line Reviews & Growth Summits)

MARKETING & BRAND

  • Consumer Led Insights: Own execution of consumer research panels and run online consumer surveys to identify and refine consumer target, shopper needs, and customer opportunities
  • Brand Positioning & Messaging: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all campaigns, product positioning, and messaging maintain consistency with Every Man Jack’s brand voice and resonate with the millennial male target audience.
  • Cross-Category Alignment: Ensure collaboration across other categories (e.g., haircare, Beard) to maintain consistency in brand storytelling and maximize cross-category opportunities.
  • Digital & Social Collaboration: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to leverage TikTok trends and other emerging platforms to engage with consumers and amplify innovation.
  • Partner with Shopper Marketing Manager by aligning brand strategy with retail initiatives, providing insights, assets, and messaging to drive shopper engagement and sales
  • US & Canada Focus: Works across US and Canada.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally. While this candidate loves timelines and hitting key milestones, also has a remarkable ability to remain calm and flexible in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, high growth collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player – someone approachable with a positive, innovative and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder, and takes on a “sleeves-rolled-up” and a “can-do” attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Successful manager with 7-9 years of brand and product experience in CPG and/or beauty. MBA preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Knowledge and experience working with mass trade channels (Mass, Grocery, Drug, Natural, Specialty, Ecommerce).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Experience working with syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Numerator) to analyze performance and inform decision-making.
  • Energy and passion to build a brand, and a brand organization.
  • Ability to quickly turn insights into action. Experience working with syndicated data.
  • A team player who works cross-functionally to deliver results.
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude with a drive to support the growth of the brand and organization.
  • Background in beauty or personal care.
  • Passion for sustainability.

LOCATION: Mill Valley, CA (Hybrid: Mon/Tues/Thurs in Office, Wed/Fri Remote)

HOURS: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried

MANAGER: Director of Brand
