THE ROLE: Senior Manager Supply Planning

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Supply Planning to lead our supply planning function within a fast-paced, consumer-centric CPG organization. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of finished goods across our global network—from contract manufacturers and suppliers to distribution centers and retail channels.

You will be responsible for leading part of the S&OP process, driving cross-functional alignment, optimizing inventory, and ensuring service levels meet customer expectations. This role requires a balance of operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and strong collaboration across demand planning, procurement, finance, and commercial teams.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.. Opportunities for new experiences to demonstrate leadership and growth are limitless.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and lead the supply planning process for all finished goods across multiple product categories and channels (Retail, DTC, Amazon, etc.)

  • Translate demand forecasts into production, procurement, and inventory plans to support revenue and service goals

  • Manage capacity constraints and production prioritization across co-manufacturers and third-party suppliers

  • Partner closely with Demand Planning, Procurement, and Operations to align supply with financial and operational targets

  • Monitor and report on key KPIs: service level, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, OTIF, and supply plan adherence

  • Develop inventory strategies to minimize stockouts and excess while managing working capital

  • Identify and implement planning tools or technology upgrades (e.g., NetSuite, SAP IBP, o9, Kinaxis, Anaplan)

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of planners (1–3 direct reports)

THE CANDIDATE:

Candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally. While this candidate is driven and hits key milestones, also has a remarkable ability to remain calm and flexible in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, high growth collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player – someone approachable with a positive, innovative and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder, and takes on a “sleeves-rolled-up” and a “can-do” attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 10+ years of supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role

  • CPG industry experience is required—preferably in food & beverage, personal care, or household goods

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning, including S&OP, MRP, and inventory optimization

  • Strong analytical skills, including working knowledge of Excel, ERP systems, and planning tools (NetSuite, SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (APICS certification is a plus)

HOURS:
Full Time, Exempt, Salaried

MANAGER:
Vice President of Operations
