Marketing Manager
Fire Aside
Background:
Fire Aside is focused on helping communities adapt to wildfire. We are a fast growing, venture
backed company used by local fire agencies and community organizations in 8 states with
measurable impact in risk reduction where our platform is used.
We are seeking a senior marketing manager or director who can help us increase awareness of our offering and support accelerating growth, for the volume of new logos and profiles (County, State participants).
Responsibilities & Expectations:
● Develop content to highlight the success of our agency customers. This content can be
used by them in public updates and in turn by Fire Aside to highlight our impact.
● Manage marketing campaigns tied to key industry events and fire season to include
direct messaging to target agencies as well as media outreach and briefs.
● Continuous measurement of different campaigns and strategies to track success
(currently defined as awareness and engagement into demos).
● Curation of top of funnel activities focused on developing inbound leads and prospects
aware of our offering’s benefits (to neighboring communities).
While Fire Aside has data analysts and a graphic designer on the team, we are a ‘start-up’.This means your versatility and ability to do some updates or early designs in Figma or do some data manipulation to pull threads together is highly valuable and expected. In addition, the ideal candidate would have many of the following in their background:
● B2B marketing, especially with any experience in the public sector (reaching local
government, non-profits, etc)
● Familiarity with and comfort telling stories with data. Specific examples of how to
translate complex concepts into quick infographics and visuals
● Familiarity with the issues facing communities due to wildfire (smoke, evacuations,
insurance, etc)
● Execution around in-person events such as trade shows and conferences. This would
include pre-event messaging, at event activities, and post event follow up campaigns.
● Management of a marketing calendar and on-going campaigns with a primary focus on
growing awareness of our offering to our target market.
● Familiarity with and experience running digital marketing, social media, SEO and
reporting conversion metrics.

with these tools is important:

● Webflow
● CRM
● Webflow, Slack & Webinars
Fire Aside is based in Marin and we have a slight bias towards candidates in the north bay,
however this job can be fully remote with occasional travel to Marin and to events required.
