About the Role

Our Brand Ambassadors work alongside our Sales Managers as the faces and voices of Maker in our main markets. They share our story, pour our wines, and educate our retail partners and end-consumers at all sorts of events – think staff trainings, in-store tastings, trade events, fundraisers, etc. This collective team of individuals is on the front line, getting the word out!

This role is a part-time position supporting Maker with in-person product demonstrations and tastings at a variety of events. Scheduling will be a combination of regular cadence events and ad-hoc events as needs arise, and will require a degree of flexibility in schedule and location.

This role is ideal for someone who is interested in the wine industry — our small company is a great network of self-starters and folks passionate about the wine world. Ideal candidate will live in central San Francisco or Marin County and must have a reliable car to travel to/from demos and tastings.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

- Represent Maker Wine at a variety of in-person events around your area: manage in-store tastings, trade events, fundraisers or charities, trainings on the product for staff at retail locations, etc.

- Visit accounts in person to provide collateral and ensure good brand representation

- Own immediate and long term KPIs for event success

- Manage and maintain the provided demo kit to ensure full stock of appropriate materials for upcoming events

- Maintain alignment with Sales Manager via regular communication and occasional 1:1s

- Attend quarterly All-Hands Meeting monthly Zoom trainings

- You have a great attitude and bubbly personality – willing bring the energy and enthusiasm!

- You are a self-driven, independent contributor who enjoys taking ownership over projects

- You identify with the Maker mission and values

- You have a somewhat flexible schedule – this is mostly a “nights and weekends” gig

- You’re passionate about wine! Wine sales experiences or wine certifications a plus!

- You don’t mind driving and some manual labor – think wine/materials transport and setup
