Responsibilities
- Jobsite technical support
- Machine repair and retrofit
- Preventative, and unscheduled maintenance of Truss Driver Machines and support equipment
- On-site metal fabrication
- Train junior Ojjo mechanics
- Support mechanics from customers
- Track and maintain personal DOT compliance
- Support Operators of Truss Driver Machines
- Work with Ojjo Machine Development, Product Development, and Field Applications Engineering teams to integrate feedback into product improvements
- Recognize and report safety concerns promptly
- Constantly learn and improve personal skillsets
- Document equipment issues and repairs such as hours, parts used, travel.
Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Technical diploma or Tradesperson certification are a plus
- (5) years construction/jobsite experience
- (5) years Heavy Machinery or similar; drill rigs a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license and provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license upon being hired
Knowledge & Skills:
- Machine/Auto mechanics/Heavy Equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems
- Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc)
- Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)
- Welding and fabrication
- Excellent judgement and able to make responsible decisions
- Excellent people skills and an enthusiastic attitude
- Superior professionalism, judgement, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently without constant direction
- Skills to communicate and work with other mechanics and team members
