Operant Networks is an early-stage startup transforming networking and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. We are seeking a rock-star Software Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in developing pioneering technologies.

The position will be instrumental in designing and implementing software solutions that enhance our platform. Key Responsibilities

• Programming: Develop and maintain embedded or near real-time systems using C/C++, with additional responsibilities in Python and Rust.
• Platforms: Debian-based Unix and Windows environments. (Architectures: Both X64 & ARM platforms).
• Core Tools: GitLab, clang, llvm, Conan, Unix shell scripting toolsets
• Software Architecture: Lead the design and refinement of software modules, adhering to modern full-stack development practices.
• Innovation: Initiate and lead the development of new product concepts in an environment that values forward-thinking solutions.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software development experience in large-scale enterprise tools within a dynamic startup environment.
• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) environments, including renewables like solar or wind, or similar industries such as oil, gas, and high-capacity manufacturing.
• Comprehensive understanding of Industrial- IoT architectures from cloud solutions to endpoint devices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.

Skills

• Proficient in Debian Unix, Windows, and embedded platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and cross-platform integration between x64 and ARM architectures.
• Expertise in networking and telecommunications.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or substantial equivalent experience.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Additional education or experience in cybersecurity and IT networking technologies.
