Position Title: Residential Sales Director

Department: Consumer Sales

Reports To: Vice President of Sales and Marketing

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time, Benefited

Position Summary:

The Residential Sales Director is responsible for leading and managing various sales teams to drive revenue and achieve business objectives. This person will work within a well-established team, tenured supervisors/managers in our Inside Sales, MDU, and Field Sales teams.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The Residential Sales Director is a fulltime exempt position based in our North Bay market. Must be able to report to our Headquarters in Santa Rosa. This position is a role that will require some travel out into the field.

Travel:
Occasional travel into the field is typical for this position. Other travel as needed as other markets grow.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Residential Sales Director is responsible for the strategic direction to reach and exceed sales targets of our sales teams and their managers/supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
    • Provide visionary leadership to the inside sales, multi-dwelling units (MDU), and field sales teams.
  2. Team Management:
    • Manage and oversee the performance of inside sales, MDU, and field sales teams.
    • Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring teams are motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Sales Operations:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of consumer sales, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sales processes.
  4. Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
    • Analyze customer needs and preferences to tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  5. Revenue Growth:
    • Drive initiatives to increase customer acquisition and retention.
    • Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and pricing strategies.
  6. Customer Focus:
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer issues and concerns.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
  7. Performance Metrics:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor sales team performance.
    • Regularly report on sales metrics and provide insights to the executive team.
  8. Training and Development:
    • Develop training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of sales teams.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  2. Experience:
    • 5-10+ years of sales/sales management experience.
    • Proven experience in consumer sales leadership roles. Within a telecommunications or internet service provider industry is a plus.
    • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Project management experience is a plus.
    • Sales software experience: for example, Salesforce, Genesis, Spotio, etc.
  3. Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
  4. Strategic Thinking:
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
    • Set up results-driven goals for 3 teams.
    • Measure total amount of orders achieved monthly/quarterly/annually.
    • Create consistent reports of team targets and actuals.
  5. Communication:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Data-driven decision-making approach.
  7. Industry Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of the internet service provider industry, including market dynamics and competition.
  8. Adaptability:

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry.

Compensation Range:

$120-$160k annually plus bonus
