What We're Looking For
Novi is seeking a content strategist well-versed in both the storytelling and conversion sides of content marketing. From brainstorming and ideation to asset production and promotion, you’ll create content that inspires, educates, and converts. The ideal candidate has built and/or scaled a content marketing program at a beloved CPG company or venture-backed startup. They have experience creating compelling content for both B2B and B2C audiences across multiple social platforms.
A master of short- and long-form prose, video, and motion graphics, you’ll create and distribute multimedia content for sustainability-focused consumers, CPG brands (e.g. Kosas, Oatly, Rothy’s, Blueland), and leading retailers (e.g. Target, Amazon, Sephora). You have a pulse on the hottest and most innovative brands. You have strong instincts for how to connect with consumers who share Novi’s values. As EIC of our blog, email conversion expert, script writer, and social sage, you’ll push our thinking on how content can drive education, policymaking, brand awareness, sales, customer delight, and brand partnerships.
Responsibilities
Refine and build upon Novi’s existing content strategy to attract and engage consumer, B2B, and B2C audiences in all funnel stages.
Together with the Creative Director, build out Novi’s voice and tone guidelines and writing conventions to reflect our brand attributes.
Project manage and launch the redesigned blog as Novi’s front door. Build a plan to introduce our blog to consumers and customers, and to ensure that they come back for more.
Audit the blog, synthesize a punch list of SEO fixes and optimizations (considering the AI-enhanced evolution of search engines), and work with the web team to complete needed fixes.
Relaunch Novi’s social media channels, developing goals, target audiences, and metrics for TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, and Linkedin. Articulate what is needed to grow our following 10x.
Create a repeatable and scalable monthly planning process for content, accounting for blog, newsletter, email, and owned social needs.
Work with the creative team, PR, and growth marketing to produce all articles, tiles, posts, emails, videos, and other assets–on time, on brand, and within budget.
Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to add memorable content touchpoints throughout the customer journeys.
Source and oversee the work of freelancers to produce insightful content on sustainability, beauty & personal care, CPG marketing & merchandising, consumer trends, chemistry, legislation, and supply chain innovation.
Turn data into insights, proactively report on results, optimize content performance, and evolve the content strategy.
About You
5+ years of writing experience in multiple mediums, such as research reports, case studies, videos, blog articles, web pages, emails, webinar decks, and organic social posts.
5+ years of experience building and managing social channels, identifying and engaging influencers, and growing net new followers by the thousands.
2+ years experience building out the content strategy, operational systems, and multimedia assets for a beloved CPG brand or mid-stage venture-backed startup ($10M+ ARR).
An elevated taste level and eye for design: You have a pulse on what’s fresh, can provide thoughtful and actionable feedback to creatives, and have an A+ portfolio of work samples that you co-created with marketers, designers, and copywriters.
Exceptional editing and proofreading skills with an eagle eye for grammar, syntax, parallel structure, and consistency.
Proficiency in Figma, Canva, Google Slides, project management tools like Notion, and content management systems such as Webflow.

Base Salary Range
$100-$140K Annual Salary
