What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a seasoned product marketer with expertise in omni-channel B2B and B2C marketing. This role is an opportunity to help the world’s most innovative and inspiring CPG brands better market their sustainable formulations, packaging, and business practices to consumers. We need an experienced operator who brings strategic exercises, messaging frameworks, research methodologies, and cross-functional planning processes to our table. This role requires experience with building or scaling the product marketing function at a Series C+ ($30M+ ARR) venture-backed startup. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and collaborates closely with the Product, Sales, BD, Customer Success, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities
Lead go-to-market strategy, planning, and campaign execution to launch new product offerings and features to all core audiences.
Conduct the prospect and customer research needed to further develop Novi’s buyer and user personas.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, retailer and brand product needs, and competitive threats to Novi.
Use research insights to create differentiated messaging and positioning that can be utilized by all teams and partners.
Conduct customer interviews to develop case studies that reinforce our value propositions and the ROI of Novi.
Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success team to develop enablement tools, including product demos, sales deck templates, and onboarding guides.
Create and maintain product marketing materials such as datasheets, whitepapers, customer testimonials, case studies, and presentations to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Become an expert on CPG pain points, technologies, and retailer marketing best practices. Share insights widely with the team.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to marketing, sales, and customer experience initiatives, including funnel conversion ratios, deal size and velocity, brand activation and engagement, NPS, and product usage to help the marketing and product teams prioritize their work.
About You
7+ years in a product marketing role at an e-commerce, consumer tech, or SaaS company.
2+ years of successfully hiring, coaching, and managing direct report(s) or team leads.
The personality and desire to dive into the nitty gritty technical details with product managers and engineers.
A+ writing and storytelling skills for both internal and external audiences.
A track record of asking tough questions and providing kind but direct feedback to collaborators.
Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects with multiple executive stakeholders through to completion.
Nice To Haves
A personal commitment to sustainable shopping in the home, beauty, food, apparel, and/or personal care categories.
Familiarity with retail tech and/or CPG certification bodies.
A pulse on CPG trends and buzzy brands.
Base Salary Range
$150-$210K Annual Salary
Dependent on geographic location and past experience
