PLC and Electrical Controls Engineer

Trevi Systems is engaged in the research, development and commercialization of a novel Forward Osmosis desalination technology. Trevi Systems is a privately-held company located in Rohnert Park, California. Trevi is actively engaged in completing development and scaling of its current systems to meet customer demand and has the following position available for immediate hire:

```Duties```

- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for industrial machinery and equipment, primary focus on water purification systems. Includes OEM Customer systems and test systems in the laboratory environment

- Design and maintain PLC hardware and software to implement the controls algorithms for complete system control

- Maintain, repair, calibrate, service and install automation and instrumentation systems used in field devices such as electric valves and actuators, ultrasonic, pneumatic and radar sensing level and flow measuring equipment, temperature and pressure sensing devices, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), advanced computer data acquisition and storage systems and HMI computer work stations, data logging and trends display, data communications systems including transceivers for automation, data acquisition and telemetry to include wired and wireless applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements

- Create and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using Solidworks Electrical

- Testing, including defining/supporting acceptance testing and instrument calibration

- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions

- Conduct field service visits to diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions

- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance

- Fabricate and assemble electrical components as needed

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering

- Manage, develop and configure SQL server databases

- Develop software and configurations for SCADA human-machine interface systems

- Develop operational procedures and standards for automation and SCADA systems, date acquisition and archival systems, computer-based control and monitoring systems, high-speed data networks for automation and radio telemetry networks

- Develop engineering documentation for the electrical and PLC design for the systems developed

```Skills```

- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices

- Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical for creating technical drawings and schematics

- Proficiency in PLC programming and integration with instrumentation and motor VFDs

- Experience with low voltage systems and logic controllers

- Mechanical knowledge to understand the integration of electrical components with mechanical systems

- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively

- Customer service mindset to provide support and assistance to clients during field service visits

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Computer Science

- Design Knowledge and Capabilities in both Electrical Systems Design and PLC Design/Programming

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the following :

- Programming

- Software design

- PLC Programming - Siemens, Allen Bradley and Opto 22 PLC programming a plus.

- Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings,

- Error and Fault Analysis

-Develop PLC Logic for the control and data logging on custom systems

- Create HMI Displays to fit custom applications.

- Experience with integration of VFDs, motors and process sensors, including calibration

- Proficient in MS Office software products

- Must possess problem solving skills, critical and analytical thinking, and organizational skills

- A self- Starter with good interpersonal & communication skills in dealing with suppliers and other team members
